Sagar Khastagir is the Assistant General Manager of Summit Alliance Port East Gateway (I) Pvt. Ltd ( SAPL - India ), a subsidiary of Summit Group Bangladesh, is recognized as the largest infrastructure group in Bangladesh employing over 8000 people with investments in the Energy Sector, Ports, Shipping, Hospitality, Textile, Real Estate and Information Technology.

Summit Group is the largest Independent Power Producer producing close to 3000 MW Electricity. A further 2300 MW of electricity generation facility is presently under construction by the group. Summit also set up the Bangladesh first private off-dock port facility, Ocean Containers Limited, now known as Summit Alliance Ports Limited ( SAPL ) which handles about 27% of the country’s export volume and about 18% of the country’s import volume. SAPL also owns & operates the Bangladesh's only Private River Port in Mokhtarpur, Narayanganj.

SAPL - India is operating Garden Reach Terminal ( 3 Jetties ) under 30 years concession lease agreement with Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). SAPL - India will also be operating upcoming Kalughat Terminal which is primarily earmarked for movement of Nepal & Inland cargo through waterways from Eastern Part of India under Jal Marg Vikas Project ( JMVP ) of Government of India.

He has an Bachelor of Engineer degree in Information Technology & has more than 17 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping, Warehousing & Port Management. Mr. Khastagir is also the Committee Member of Bengal Chamber of Commerce, Shipping Division & Member of FICCI, Inland Waterways.
