Mr. Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury is the current Media and Information Affairs advisor to Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Mr. Chowdhury served as the editor of The Bangladesh Observer. After The Bangladesh Observer went defunct it was reorganized into The Daily Observer and he became its editor. He is the president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists. He served as a member of Bangladesh Film Censor Board, Bangladesh Press Council, and National Education Policy Draft Committee. He is the chairman of the Mohammadi Group.
