Mr. Rajan Sharma is Former Chairman at Transportation and logistics committee and Executive member FNCCI (2014 to 2018), Former President at Nepal Freight Forwarders Association (NEEFA)( 2013 till 2019). He is an advisor to -Commodity Council , Export committee of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) as well as Nepal Freight Forwarders association at present ( 2021-2022). He is a sort term consultant for Transport and Logistic research for The World Bank for enhancing regional connectivity(2021-2022). He has done several work with the International trade Center, Geneva like Identifying NTMs, preparing export guides for China on Herbal/MAPS and woollen carpets , export guide for Coffee and Pashmina products to USA, Europe, Japan , South Korea and England ( 2021-2022). Essential oil exports with GIZ (2019), Exports related problems and way forward with ILO (2020)and Disaster management as private sector expert as well as transit and regional connectivity with USAID( 2013-2022) and many other donor agencies like UNESCAPE , ADB etc since 2009 until present ) Mr.Sharma has experience of working with all commodity associations and associate members as well as district and provincial intermediary business support organisations connected with the Federation of Nepalese chamber of commerce and Industries. He has been associated with various government organisation like the trade facilitation committed , Nepal Intermodal Transport board , Nepal Transit and Warehouse company Limited( NTWCL), Hatauda Cement etc under the ministry of Industry Commerce and Supplies since 2008 until 2018) He was the Board member of Nepal Road board ( 2016-2019) under Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. He is currently the Vice president of European Economic Chamber of Commerce, executive member Nepal India Chambers of commerce and Industries and advisor to SME’s federation of Nepal. Mr. Sharma has worked as National consultant and facilitator for “Quality Champion” program of coffee with the ITC and took training on the coffee sensory and cupping for intermediate level with Speciality Coffee Associstion , USA .Currently he is the CEO/Director of Quality Freight Service Pvt. Ltd. (Freight Forwarding Company). He is involved in Day to day business of Export, Import and transport logistic facilitations and getting first hand feeling of the actual issues related to trade and commerce, Customs facilitation and logistics infrastructure issues of the country. He has written several articles on trade related issues published in Nepalese daily papers, souvenirs and magazines. He is equally involved in training on food hygiene and international trade and insurance to relevant sectors . Rajan Sharma has done his Bachelor’s in English & Economics from Tribhuvan University and Master’s in Social Sciences from Nepal. He has worked with Carpet association as advisor and provided training to Pashmina Association members on how to export as well as on logistic trends. The trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC) of Nepal has appointed Quality Freight Service to analyse the logistics in the garment sector of Nepal with inflow of raw material for exports to EU and USA with right management of not only flow of good but also flow of information and finance to different actors along the Global value chain actors. He has also provided several training organised by TEPC on INCO Terms, GSP or REX and constrains and way forward for enhancing Exports along with support to the value chain analysis of Gingers abd large Cadamum.He is recently doing a logistic analysis for the Nepal Intermodal development Board on comparative analysis between the Kolkata port and Visakhapatnam port and advising world bank team in new generation projects in the trade sector of Nepal .
