Nepal Bangladesh Business Forum 2020 cancelled for coronavirus

The 4th Edition of Nepal Bangladesh Business Forum 2020 has been cancelled due to the coronavirus Outbreak.

The annual meet was supposed to be held in the first week of April with the theme of ‘4th Nepal Bangladesh Business Forum : Connecting from Sea to Himalayas’.

The Forum is the joint initiative of the Kathmandu based leading foreign policy think tank , Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA) and Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal.

The aim is to promote and strengthen bilateral economic cooperation between the countries.

Nepal has the huge scope for generating the hydropower and Bangladesh requires around 35000MW power in 2035, targeting Bangladesh and India as a great market for Nepal.

AIDIA regularly organises open and close door programmes to facilitate the government authorities.

The Forum has become a key event for the Nepalese and Bangladeshi business people, government authorities and others to discuss and share the economic opportunities in one platform.

AIDIA also cancelled the farewell programme for the Bangladesh Ambassador in Kathmandu due to coronavirus.

The 4th forum will be held once the coronavirus situation improves.
