Sajina Rai

Program Director & Research Fellow

Sajina Rai is the Director of Program and Research Fellow at the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA). Her work at AIDIA spans across program development, strategic initiatives, and research, with a strong focus on regional connectivity in South Asia and Central Asia. She also maintains an active interest in climate security and its growing importance in regional policy discourse. Ms. Rai has been an integral part of AIDIA since its inception, contributing to its institutional growth, research output, and international engagements.

 

Previously she served as a Board Member of the Scientific Council of the COP29 Presidency and the Executive Assistant to the President of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) from 2024 to 2025. She is also the Director at the Nepal Skill Initiative Project.

 

Ms. Rai holds an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from Tribhuvan University and MBA (Executive) from Pokhara University. She was an Exchange Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China in 2017.
