India's Trillion Dollar Ambition: Advantage to Nepal 

 

AIDIA organized the 3rd AIDIA Distinguished Lecture on 20 July 2025 themed "India's Trillion Dollar Ambition: Advantage to Nepal", the event featured a compelling keynote by Mr. Shishir Priyadarshi, President of Chintan Research Foundation (CRF).

 

During the event, Mr. Priyadarshi highlighted that Nepal must strategically align with India’s economic rise and recommended the following key points:

 

  • Establish an Nepal-India Economic Forum
  • Operationalize low-hanging fruits
  • Develop Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in border areas
  • Build a Start-up and Innovation Bridge between the two countries
  • Invest in better border infrastructure to ease connectivity and trade.
 
On this occasion, AIDIA and Chintan Research Foundation also signed an MoU to forge a strategic partnership aimed at advancing regional dialogue and collaboration.
